Conditions of Eligibility
Nationality
- Only citizens of India (male and female).
Age Limits
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years

Educational Qualifications
- Graduate from any recognized university.
Physical Standards
- Candidates must be physically and medically fit in all respects.
Employment
- Must be gainfully employed.
Note: Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, Para Military, and similar forces are not eligible.
Selection Procedure
- Online Entrance Examination (CBT)
- Candidates declared successful in the exam will proceed to the next stage.
- Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview
- Two-stage selection process:
- Stage 1: Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.
- Stage 2: Remaining tests (only for candidates who qualify Stage 1).

- Separate merit lists for male and female candidates based on total marks secured in the online exam and SSB tests.
Training and Service Details
Pre-Commission Training
- Duration: 6 months (as per TA Rule 20A).
- Commission is granted only upon successful completion.
Annual Training Camp
- Duration: 2 months every year.
Terms and Conditions of Service
- Part-time commitment (not a full-time career).
- Rank at Commission: Lieutenant.
- Promotions: Up to Lt Col by time scale; Colonel and Brigadier by selection.
- Pay and Allowances: Same as Regular Army Officers when embodied for training/military service.
